Inside the blood channels, within the endothelium, « shear stress » is naturally produced, which is exercised by the pulsating blood circulating through the blood vessels against the endothelial cells inside the blood vessels. It’s this mechanical effect witch is the origin of this biological reaction: the production of Nitric Oxide.
