A revolutionnary drug :
Our own Nitric Oxide

Professors Furchgott, Ignarro and Murad, the winners of the 1998 Nobel Prize in medicine, discovered that the endothelium plays a crucial role in the production of Nitric Oxide, which in turn is a major factor in arterial and venous vasodilation, Stendo has defined a number of therapeutic applications using this science as inspiration.
With this new therapeutic approach – N.O.therapy –  it has been possible to develop new therapeutic protocols to treat cardiovascular disease in particular, working in synergy with existing conventional treatments.

A revolution for the cardiovascular system

Inside the blood channels, within the endothelium, « shear stress » is naturally produced, which is exercised by the pulsating blood circulating through the blood vessels against the endothelial cells inside the blood vessels. It’s this mechanical effect witch is the origin of this biological reaction: the production of Nitric Oxide.

The N.O.therapy  technique and the Pulsewave® suit combined as well as its focused, precised, centripetal and mechanical stimulations allow the reactivation, stimulation and optimization of the natural production of Nitric Oxide (NO).
The series of stimulationwaves synchronised to the subject’s heart rate revive the natural Nitric Oxide production and thus allow to improve, using its vasodilating properties, the haemodynamics from the centre of the body to the periphery.
The positive effects of Nitric Oxide: promotes vasodilation, improves microcirculation, lymphatic drainage, the neurotransmission to the target organs, exchanges cellular levels and can play an anti-inflammatory effects.

Nitric Oxide is also a neuromediator, gastrointestinal regulator, it influences cognitive abilities and involved in the regulatory mechanisms of cell apoptosis.

The N.O.therapy  protocols are able to adapt to a number of physiological situations, (hypertension, heart arrhythmia, etc) and it’s specific therapeutic software makes it possible to follow with precision the blood pressure, heart rate and rate of oxygenation in the blood.
The treatment does not require an operator and there is the option to customise the care protocols.
